August Hatch-A-Long!

Good morning all! FAMILYPENDRAGON Congrats on all the pips! My remaining three eggs have not pipped yet. One is still rocking when i shine the flashlight on it. I is now 21 days and 8 hrs.

On a side note, my cockerel finally crowed this morning, well sort of...it sounded likw one of my grandkids yelling "BarrrrRoo!" Intetesting because he is called Barry the Roo, lol. He attempted it three times. He will be 16 weeks on Tuesday and has three live embyos in the incubator (been mating with my hen for almost 3 weeks) but today is the first time he has attempted to crow.

Holy Cow! Thatsa half batch? Its huge, how do you regulalate temps and humidity is something so large? I assume those are your own eggs not purchased because that would be a pricey test run. Good luck, keep us posted. Oh, Welcome to BYC! :)

Trying out my home built with a half batch for the first time. Hopefully all goes well. RIR 48, Black Aust.16, Blacl aust./red sussex 10 and 22 mixed Maran/amer

I got that one first and found it takes a very long time to adjust the numbers. It might be 102 for 15 minutes before it changes to that and vice versa. I use that for just the room temp/humidity now.

I agree totally. The one with the probe is much more sensitive and adjusts quicker. I use the other for just humidity inside bator. I use one with probe to keep temp in my hatching drawer and track room temp and humidity.

I have a brown red Ameraucana rooster that started crowing at 5 weeks. I didn't know they would crow so young. He was growing faster the the other chickens.
