August Hatch-A-Long!

2nd chick out - I believe both of these are from my Black Australorps - daddy could be a Lavender Ameraucana, Cuckoo Marans or unlikely but possibly a RIR.

Awwwwww how precious! I have 3 chihuahuas. One 3 lbs one almost 5 lbs and one 6 lbs. All are rescues from puppy mills.

Seeking opinions...there are three eggs still in lockdown. One has pipped and is working hard in there. The other two I have not seen rocking since the day they went into lockdown. When #3 hatches and I take it out to go in the brooder, should I candle or float test my remaining two or just wait? Tonight at 10pm will be Day 22 (I don't count the day they go in as day one).

Congrats on all the little chicks! Seems that a lot has happened while I aS at work-lol
Checks my eggs and all are alive and starting to wiggle a bit. Locking down in the am before work. I normally 5 hatch. I am pretty sure the 6th is a quitter but it doesn't smell so it is staying put for now.

I have Cochins an they have more feathers when born. Will probably be a cute mix. The little red one is adorable.

Yeah you can float. Just make sure the water is very still, put the egg in slowly so you can detect any movement.
