Chicks 1&2 3 rd has just arrived but exhausted he had a job getting out 1 egg left

Is that a stuffed toy in there with them? I thought I was the only one who did such silly things, LOL!

The pip is on the large end towards the bottom (what the eggs are on), the X is on the large end towards the top. Nothing is going on towards the pointy end. I suppose I'm concerned bc he's not coming out the lowest point in the air cell (where I marked the X) and he "looks" to be "upside down" to me.

OOOOH, now I gotcha! It should be fine actually, the chick can pip in any area of the air pocket...this one just started at the opposite side of it then usual.

My hens chicks hatch on Saturday!!!

We're on day 14 here and the anxiety and excitement is kicking in! I've weeded out many and have 9 left of the 15 I started with. I think it was 15 lol. I added two into the bator that I found in a nest yesterday, they had veins starting and one had a little movement. I'm on pins and needs for the 21st!!!

We are on the same day. I am trying to ignore the incubator and tend to all my babies instead. I thought about locking mine down early due to them being shipped eggs. I read somewhere (and can't remember where now) that you should for shipped eggs. I haven't candled mine since day 8 (I think) and don't want to until lockdown. I don't want to see if any others gave up :/

4th and final egg successfully hatched

last one has a dark beak so think its a black Wyandotte...2 brown and gold 1 grey and silvery

Now all I need to know is boys or girls hehe

7 out of 10 eggs have either pipped or cracked the surface and ready to pip. Maybe tomorrow morning I'll have some peeps to goo over

Wow, you could wake up tomorrow to find a whole flock in you bator, LOL!

Must be the poor picture quality, because that looks like the top of the egg. How has he progressed since you posted this? I have been working and just catching up now.

Still the same..... idk that it's moved any since I posted the pic hours ago. I know they rest but idk.... she others are showing improvement but that guy isn't doing anything.

Cute little buggers!!!

Never thought to put up pics of what I had already hatched this month.....can't post the one CCL from the July hatch, she is largely feathered in now, and doesn't look like the little fuzzy I hatched. Also need to post updated pics of the GL Brahmas I got from Jacquie, may just do that to my page though......so many babies!!!!!

Well why not post their pics? We all followed their birth, lets see what they look like now!

I do that too. I feel so sorry for them being born all alone in there. Besides, the way they flail themselves around it gives them one soft place to land.
