August Hatch-A-Long!

Still the same..... idk that it's moved any since I posted the pic hours ago. I know they rest but idk.... she others are showing improvement but that guy isn't doing anything.

Sometimes they don't seem to be making progress them all of a sudden they will zip and hatch in like 45 minutes. Just give it some time. You can still see it is moving in there? It can take about 24 hours after the pip before they even start working on a zip.

No I haven't seem him move. But I have hope. And I'm keeping myself busy so I don't go crazy.

I'm kinda bummed. I'm 48 hours out from my first hatchee and he is still the only one out of fourteen:(. Hoping these others get going tonight. At least the little buggers a partridge rock so that's something.

Out of 4 hatched so far, this one has light skin and only 4 toes. But such a beautiful color! I think I will keep it anyways!
So cute! I feel so bad when they're in the sling - but it's tough love!
Pipping towards the bottom of the egg and when he peeps I can see is lower beak moving but towards up top. I labeled the x where I thought he'd pip but he's down towards the bottom.
I had one do that in this hatch & then it made another pip at the bottom. Zipped 24 hours later.
I accidently order 24 Salmon Faverolle eggs. Oops.
Lol too funny! Wish I had the space for more chickens! 9 more & I'm done... Lol for real this time ;)
While I am waiting for my current batch to go in to lockdown soon, thought I would share some pics and updates from my recent hatches. Here is my first chick hatched, Sunshine, she is 11 days old and weighs a whopping 4.8 oz! She is a big girl, and so are her sisters. I still don't know for sure what breed she might be, remember she is from my mystery hatch of store-bought eggs. Here is one of my Silkie babies 8 days old weighing in at 1.4 oz...such tiny little things! And here is my Super Tiny homegrown chick that came from a really small egg, but from two regular size chickens (although they are both young). She is yet unnamed, waiting for the grandkids to visit this weekend to name her. She is as small as my smallest Silkie chick, and weighs less them all of them...6 days old and 1.25 oz! They were so awesome to stand still on my scale, its the only time they are still, lol.
So cute!
here are my guinea keets the moms are grey, the dad is lavender so their feathers are laced! so cool
Very pretty!! I'm loving all these chick pics!

Here are my babies, so far so good! Navels seem to be healing great, no irritated pink skin surrounding the area. Bacitracin 3x per day, now they're able to be in wood shavings.

Cute-pa-toot is in the middle. I don't know but for some reason that one stole my heart! Lol

right? especially when your in withdrawl! I have nothing due until the 19th!! I keep looking at the bators...don't know what I'll do this winter!

Lol! For me I move onto the next project. This fall, we'll be taking apart the coop moving it & modifying it. Dividing up the chicken runs, Moving my garden around... Winter time, I think if there's nothing for me to do There are a few things I want to do on the computer, edit photos, create videos, maybe start a blog... I kinda just go on a whim. Spring is intensive gardening time.
