not a dropped and dropper ( don't know why I do that ugh!)
Ohh. Cool. I wont be alone then. lolWe'll be hatching together then too. I just set 34 more eggs in my second incubator lol. Mostly quail again but 11 chicks too
a dry incubation is around 25% humidity....then lock down 40% to 65%....but if you live in a dry area you might consult with others that incubate successfully there....
Sorry, I'm gonna throw my 2¢ in.... bought eggs from cardinalridgefarm here on byc. Her name is marci and out of 8 eggs 7 made it and I blew it at the enc. She did a wondrful job getting them to me. It all depends on who and how I think. Byc is a great place, in my opinion, to get fertile eggs
Quote: here in N. Texas it's pretty high so it doesn't take much to raise the humidity for hatch!
even though the dry incubation I had one little one I had to help because it was gooey!! the rest of the clutch are hatching fine with no goo!
I just started incubation on 3 breeds from mail order. I am also trying my luck with selling on the bay too with one add on there. But the only breed i have laying is BB Red old english game bantams. Ill be glad when my other 4 breeds are laying so i can put the eggs from them on the bay too. Thanks for the feed back! I have noticed the number of people here who get hatching eggs, and maybe some day I will get my own![]()
Quote: some of the best shipped eggs I've bought that are at this time hatching are from a byc friend! we are all members because we love and care for our flocks so it stands to reason our flocks are healthy and well cared for...so the eggs do well...
Quote: your not alone!! I'm so nuts I've got all the incubators full and a bunch of eggs coming next week!!![]()
