I am sitting here staring at my $59 check from USPS that should have gone in the bank today... and I am staring at ebay hatching eggs.... and I am trying to figure out how much room I will have in the bator and when

I'm glad to hear lots of people are having better luck lately.  I am too.  My other hatches until now where so sad.  Tis one made up for it.  But I am still waiting on those two slow pokes.  One has had an internal pip since very early this morning.  How much air is in the air cell?  Does antone know how long it lasts?  I don't want to open it up if I don't have to but if it needs more air, I will.

My last to hatch was in the air cell for at least 24 hours before it made an external pip.

will my chick die from being lonely? My broody rejected my chick so I am bringing it in but it has 4 other friends that were not rejected should I bring a friend in for my rejected baby

I would. A lonely chick is a very sad thing :-(

yes this little miracle chick spent three days with no heat and only the humidity of the room which is pretty low. this little chick just has an amazing will to livemiracle chik Let us know how it does and pics!!

I dont think thats too unusual as if you think about it some ppl say they hear cherping for a few days Before hatch
.They cant peep unless they are in the air cell
And to newbies.... sometimes they DONT peep before they hatch........ not to worry ...many will still alive with no peep in the egg shell . Only the loud mouths!LOL

I have my last eggs to hatch in august due on Wednesday 6 light sussex's off my own hens hopefully this hatch will go just as well as the last 3
