no pips at all
are these your eggs? shipped eggs that may have gotten warm and started on the way to you may hatch a little early but 22 days isn't really late...there is a gal on this thread...I can't remember if it's Roxanne or The Chicken Lady...which ever it was....went to unplug the incubator and shut it down until spring and notice chirping or a pip or something in the last 2 eggs she was giving up on and it was like day 25...those 2 hatched

I do know how you feel but it's too early to give up!

The drama for this hatch is done. Some how I knew the rest were done. Last 6 eggs

.

So I have 7 super cute little sticky Langshan fuzz balls. They have got some long legs. Can't wait to see what they look like dry. I have 2 days to catch up on sleep and then it starts all over again. Woo hoo!

Placing my eggs in LD in just a few. I needed advice on what method is best. Place them in empty egg carton or place them on top thin cloth? Do they not hurt themselves if they're in the carton and get out of it?

HI, You've had to wait quite awhile for an answer..so perhaps have already put your eggs in Lock down.
But , for future reference........I always hatch in cartons.........cutting a hole in the bottom of each cup for air
circulation............They manage to get out just fine. They don't hurt themselves getting out. Also, if they have been in an automatic turner, it keeps them a little
higher than laying on the floor of the incubator.
How ever you have set it up, I am sure they will be fine............Good Luck........

I'm so
August has been such a bittersweet month. Today I lost my beloved leghorn

Also today, I watched my broody teach her chicks how to scratch, peck, & enjoy a good dust bath.

Just another day in raising chickens I guess :')
I'm so sorry about your sweet leghorn!! I lost my little EE roo chick last week and it broke my heart, on the same day I had my first Silkie chicks hatching. It eased the pain but I still think about him so much:')
