August Hatch-A-Long

I haven't seen any wiggling or heard any peeps & tomorrow is day 21. I was told my hatch might be delayed a day cuz of the power outage. But should i be seeing some wiggling by now? Would I mess up the chance of hatching if I candled again?

Well, I got my eggs out of the turner and bumped up the humidity just in time. I have internal pips in many eggs and now external pips in 2 eggs. I pulled 2 more eggs out. So that leaves me with 28 eggs. 3 are still questionable since I have a few eggs that I just can't see through. 9 black sex links, 4 white eggs, 2 australorp eggs, and 11 easter egger eggs made it to lockdown.

OMG!!!!   I just went and looked in bator and heard peeping!!!  No signs yet but from what I read it has broke through air sac and should start to pip by tomorrow!  I'm going nuts e It was sooooo cute to hear     I hope its not too early tomorrow is only day 20 :/

The results of this past weekend's hatch.This was my first somewhat successful hatch. Started with 12 eggs and ended up with 4 healthy chicks. Temperatures ended up being off for the better part of the incubation. Partridge cochin, ameraucana, olive egger, and black? cochin. Putting 10 more eggs in the bator on thursday!

I love them!!! Your little amauracana just cracks me up, congrats!

Quick question! I am moving this weekend. Friday is lockdown for me....will they be ok on the ride over? I plan to leave them in their cartons inside the incubator like I have them now but will the bouncing around in the car harm them in any way? I can move them there Thursday if that would make any difference....

Which eggs are you incubating.they are very hard to see into. You should probably wait for day 7. I would have candled my own eggs which are very easy to see into since they are white, but my broody is feeling Super cranky, so much so that my other hens don't even lay in the nest boxes. Good luck

I'm excited, have 27 of 30 eggs left. Day 11 and it's my first time ever using an incubater! These are our mixed breed chicken eggs!

Which eggs are you incubating.they are very hard to see into. You should probably wait for day 7. I would have candled my own eggs which are very easy to see into since they are white, but my broody is feeling Super cranky, so much so that my other hens don't even lady in the nest boxes.

This one is a light brown, almost a pink color. From a SS hen.
