Post pictures of your new chicks when you get a chance!

I'm thinking I will just be doing a tote with mesh top for chicks for the first week or two and then I have a large cage but around 6 weeks feel they will need coop and run

I just candled our eggs at day 10, and was lucky enough to see a little heartbeat flickering away! The same baby also showed me it's teeny tiny foot. New life is absolutely amazing. Our cracked egg still seems to be alive, it has some good veins and a good air cell, but I wasn't able to see any movement. I'm going to give it the benefit of the doubt.

That is awesome you had such a great egg to candle! I read that many eggs hatch out without their movement showing up on candles, so maybe your cracked egg will make it. Keep us updated!@ChookyGirl

Well it looks like a lot of late deaths but over all we got 10 out of 17 eggs! 10 chicks are doing great and we are so happy with them!

Took them out for a second this afternoon (100 degrees + in the sun here! Ugg) to take a picture.
