August Hatch-A-Long

We are going to try the dry method. no added water unless humidity reaches below 30%. We also got it steady temp at 100-101, which is perfect for still air incubators. I am adding the eggs tonight, We are doing a small batch, 5 eggs. I will be happy if 1 hatches.

100-101 is perfect at the top of the egg. So that's something to consider, where the thermometer is located.
Is it too late to hop on the wagon? I'm setting some blue barnevelder eggs tonight. Gonna try the dry hatch method as well. Here's hoping for a good hatch!
Are your barney eggs dark?

The temp is taken right beside the eggs at egg level :) We added our eggs today...Is it hatch day yet?? LOL

One my chicks that hatched last night! Partridge cochin i believe. Still have three that are in the process of hatching and two more that i am waiting to start.
Oh yay!! Congrats on the hatch :)

I have 2 of these but they haven't been very reliable for me.

That is pretty spendy, especially if they don't work well! I bought a computer fan for 5.99 at best buy, 12 V cord at the goodwill for 2.99 and the thermostat for less than $15. I wire the thermostat to an extension cord so I can change heat sources or just unplug things to rearrange... the thermostat works great!

Here are the barnevelder eggs. Sorry for the horrible light. I have 19 other eggs that will be a barnyard mix. I'm so nervous that I'm gonna botch this. Reading and praying!
