August Hatch Anyone?

3 Peas on the 24th, 7 (probable) Barred Rocks and 6 Silkies on the 25th and now 4 more Peas but those may not be fertile. Will candle them in a couple more days.

I've got a mixed bag of chicken eggs to include bantams, leghorns, barred Rock (I think) and probably some type or 'red'.. 22 eggs overall. Set them on July 31st so should be due Wednesday the 21st but tonight heard them chirping, and the eggs they are a rockin...

This is my first hatch so not sure what to expect, sure didn't expect to be this excited over chirping eggs.. what a hoot!

Started with about 28 chicken and 4 Pekin.. but 6 chicken and all of the Pekin never set..

Forgot to mention I also have 12 khakis that aren't due until the 28th.. should I move them to a different incubator? (I'd have to go get one)

Bought a dozen from Metzer (sp?) they sent 13 and only one wasn't fertile, day 19 with them and all look very good.

Who else on lockdown is constantly looking in the window of the incubator?
Today my Orp eggs should start hatching.

1 BBS English orpington
1 lemon cuckoo orpington
3 lavender orpington

Any break outs yet? I just put my peas on lock down but still looking for that "rocking" action constantly LOL!
One of the 3 looks like it may have died. I am going to keep it in the turner for another day or two to see if it develops any more. I had a few days where the incubator was cooler than I wanted it but couldn't seem to get it up without it going over board. So....hoping it is just behind. Too much space showing and can't really see well enough to see movement.
The chickens and silkies go to the hatcher-bator tomorrow.

My lemon cuckoo orpington looks like a chocolate orpington which is even better. The breeder has those as well and might have miss labled to surprise me cause I really really wanted a chocolate but it was a hens choice on what ever was laid.

Have a lavender hatching and another that pipped from wrong end the BBS egg ,looks like a splash.

Well it is 3 in the morning and I just helped the little splash out. Another lavender is hatching.
