Auguat is now 145 days old. 21 weeks old 4 months 23 days to be exact.
I have gone back and forth and gotten several strong opinions for why she is a he or he is a she.
August clucks puxks and purrs
August honks loudly like a goose.
August bellows out a creeky scratchy elevating squack.
August only has 4 toes.
August has feathered feet.
Auagust has a tiny pink comb.
Auugust hatched super tiny with a penquin looking pattern.
The first feathering produced a solid black bird with a small dot of white on the chest. Eventually there was a bit if a molt and the white was gone and coppery feathers started appearing around the neck and face.
Then I noticed a green sheen to some torso feathers.
August's under fluff is extremely soft and fluffy and theres a lot of it. These feathers are more of a gray black ash color.
Eyes are a sort of dark golden orange
There is a lovely beard/fluff on the cheeks.
Tail feathers keep changing.
Appear mostly rounded but prior to them falling out there seemed to be a curving happening on top.
Broody hen was a salmon Faverolle, who may or may not have been the hen who laid the egg.
August's legs are a grayish tint.
I have not seen evidence of spur buds
I have seen no eggs
I have heard no crows.
Potential breed based on whats in the ranch and was was recently on the ranch.
RIR Wyandotte,Silkie,Faverolle, Leghorn.
Several mixed with a blend of the above.
So with all that info and the photos Iv attached
Lets see what round 4 of this guessing game brings about
