They look beautiful and can't wait for them to hatch. Sounds like that turkey may or may not be lonely and needs a friend - I've got a hen in time out with her same problem. They must get bored

Well shoot I need a guinea apparently. I had filled and fed all the birds last night. I looked out to where they are this morning and saw everyone looking happy so went on about my day. Went to check waterers just now and there was only one pheasant in the pen and feathers everywhere. I also had a dead duck ( I think that was a mating issue as there was no feathers missing and no obvious injuries ) and then I found a dead baby rooster. He had flipped the duck feeder over on himself and baked

I did manage to find 2 more or the missing pheasants - one under the chicken coop and one in the garden. I'm really mad that they got the only hen!

What a terrible way to spend the afternoon! Maybe the other two males are somewhere. All the feathers I've been finding are from the female.

What is your thought? Coon? What ever it was pulled up stakes to the pen during the rain and pulled them out from underneath.

I got my eggs today. According to the return address I sent them to myself but after last month I have learned my lesson and looked at the post mark. I am becoming a much better detective. I didn't know they were on their way but my post office nice people that they are saved them for me and gave me a call to pick them up. All 8 of them made it safe and sound. I think their might be some messed up air cells and one is slightly detached but hopefully they will still develop for me.

My partner sent me a nice little note and I would like her to know that she did a good job with the packing. I think I have figured out who my partner is and with my detective work I might just know who the hens are that laid the eggs. I might know the roos too but can't be sure. From previous posts by suspected partner:

"some bard rocks, easter eggers, a few comets and then just barnyard mix, but they are all good layers"

"Thanks again for the 2 Silkie roosters, they are getting along great with the crew here."

I am going back home Sunday so after that I might send eggs to my partner who may get them from somewhere in the galaxy, and they will not be ostrich eggs! At least, probably not.

She may or may not know they are coming
And to make it more interesting, the eggs are not going to be marked as usual.bwa ha ha!

I got my first batch of "Mystery" eggs today (well yesterday now). They came from myself but I didn't know I lived in Minnesota.

They probably crossed paths with eggs I sent, right? I got 11 nice looking eggs, all in great condition.

I'm ready for my partners to send my "unkown" eggs to me! The egg-citment of the batch I bought has worn off, and I'm ready for some new eggs to keep me egg-cited!

OK now that I have got all but 1 of my eggs from the other swap now I'm back to wondering what da heck these mystery eggs are. I candled them and looks like i got some in good shape.... Now i got nothing hatching til the 31st so I will be totally occupied by trying to figure out what I got.
