No, I could not get DH to stop. But I gathered a whole basket of eggs from the girls today so my swap partner may be in for a surprise.​

Just did some egg candling. I'm afraid to pick up the quail eggs from their little carton, but I did one and it looks like veining in there but not sure. The GUINEA eggs are ALL developing (of course ) one of the green eggs is for sure, one is a maybe and the third one actually has a fine crack all the way around it and is not developing. I couldn't tell for sure on the two brown eggs - maybe I will candle again on Wednesday night.

These guineas ought to be fun

Yes, I'm not surprised all of the Guinea eggs are fertile. I have 1 male in w/ 4 females and that sucker is very fertile!

On the green and brown eggs...I recently separated my hens away from the roosters so there hadn't been a rooster in the pen for a couple of weeks, a couple days before I sent off the swap eggs I added two roosters (there is like 40+ hens/pullets in the pen...)so I didn't know how fertile the eggs would be.

But I chunked a few in there anyway!

I am waaaaay to new to this to be hatchign eggs, let alone swapping, so this thread is very exciting.....but now I have to wait 21 or so days to see what people are hatching.
