August Mystery Online hatching egg swap Addresses sent

please dont punch babies toes just for identfcation. You can set up ways to seperate the chicks inside the bator then band them as you take groups out , you can color light breeds in the egg, you can hatch only batches of eggs where the chicks look diffrent ect.

Michelle gave me this idea...put tiny rubber hair bands in different colors around the legs of different breeds. You have to remember to remove them in a couple weeks & place bigger bands on instead, but it works pretty well too.

Thanks everyone! I will have to read the links and see what I think about each. If we can keep the predators out; I won't need this so much. We have made many changes.

OMG, turkeys are bad little things. I have a hollowed out log like they sell for snakes that I use as a fake ecoglow. everyone loves to climb under it and sleep, and on top of it to be king of the world. Stuffing is trying her hardest to EAT the log.

NOT ONLY is she trying to eat it, she is trying to teach EVERYONE to eat it. She makes these peeping noises and all the little bantams run to her and she gets them to peck.

NOT ONLY does she teach everyone to do this, she has learned to take the paper towel off so she can do it more . I had to wrap it all the way around and under, Ill outsmart this turkey yet.

cranberries has learned how to stick her big honking foot into the feeder and get food out. She is also trying to teach this behavior to the bantams, but they just eat the food she drops instead.

I.m not looking forward to these 2 learning how to undo the latch to the grow out pen. I thought turkeys were not the brightest bulbs in the bunch, I got defective smart ones.

I think they are bad too! And thats why they get into "trouble" like drowning in water pails, walking off of cliffs etc. they are naughty! Thats why I like them. I have no clue how my black spanish youngster keeps getting in the duck pen but today I said fine if you want to live with the ducks fine by me and I left her with them.

Quote: My turkey's are just plain nosey, I can not do anything in their pen without a few hopping up on me, this will not be pleasant when they are 20lbs.......
And since i was so confused about eggs last month wait till this month, expecting most eggs from the other category, it might take me all winter to find out what I got....Be gentle
