Lets hope for a beautiful sun shine filled day!
This time I just might bring some of my gals with me. It will be my first time attempting to sell or swap whatever the case may be. Any tips?
bring a way to show them off, people don't buy what they can't see. I use a dog crate, some people use exercise pens like for dogs (covered if they might get spooked and fly out- catching runaways is always exciting but not real fun for the owner with so many cars around.)
bring boxes to send them home in- some buyers have them but most do not. signs for prices and what they are. bring food and water dishes to use(feed is optional, water can be gotten in the store). bring only clean, healthy birds.
bring food and drinks for yourself, usually there is only what you can buy in the store and it's sugary snacks.
bring money for buying and making change. bring yourself an extra box because you might see something you need.
and post on this thread what you are bringing. if someone is looking for the one thing you might leave home, it could change your might, and you will have an automatic sale.
warm clothes, it can get pretty cool this time of yr just waiting around and
a chair- standing gets tiring.
and a good sense of humor and a big smile help too.
anybody else have anything to add?
Warm clothes. Augusta store is notoriously cold and windy.
Thank you!
If I bring birds they will be Buckeyes. My OEG bantams are more entertaining pets than anything else.
this weeds out the wimps![]()
I've been weeded out a few times. Once, BF left to go run errands. I couldn't wait for him to get back so we could get the heck out of there.
