Augusta Maine swap- Sept 25th & Oct 8th

I may be bringing a lavender orpington cockeral. he will not be in the free group and I have confirmed that the person will be picking up the roosters at 11:00am giving any that are bringing roosters to find breeding homes prior to that. I need to call him that morning with a number of birds that are being picked up. if it's one I don't think he will be coming, so if you are bringing extra roos, I need to know.

I tentatively have 3 going. (not all mine)

wow, what a day. came home with only one bird that I brought to the swap, the one I wasn't sure I even wanted to sell (so that really was not a bad thing) but I over heard a guy talking about his wyandotte chickens, I made contact and went to his house. I went and looked not really expecting to see what I was looking for and there she was. I now have one of my own birds from last yr. unbelievable. I sold it as a chick, that person grew it out and sold it to him and once he explained where she came from I knew 100% she was one of mine. unbelievably happy. I may have to go back and get her sister (different color but it will be one more of my birds to rebuild my flock of blr wyandottes)

I know him, I will pass along your message.

I sold the last of my adult guineas, the only guineas I have left are about 8 weeks old and at this point are still "straight run" there are a couple of buffs in there though...

I'm going to try and make the oct 8th swap. Looking for a couple of pullets to add to our flock (I swear, every bird I get ends up being a boy!!!!) in hopes that some day we might actually get more than 1 egg a day!

Anyway, would really love a cochin or 2, or and EE or 2.....

I know its a couple weeks out yet, but if you have an idea of what you have to bring and think you might have a couple of pullets, please let me know!

the only bird I am bringing is a PQ white silkie cockeral, 6 months old- I forgot to bring him to the last swap. might have another super cute partridge silkie (PQ) but pm me if interested, anyone. discounted price on that one. 5 weeks old now.

swap at the Augusta Tractor supply 8:30-1:00
saturday oct 8th.

let's have it be an anything day. not just poultry. bring out your poultry, livestock, farm goods, baked goods, home crafts, let's see it all.
I am going to have a special drawing for all swappers present at noontime. it will be something edible. just need to put your name in the bucket free of charge. whatever it is will come with the recipe.

let's get this thread going, the swap is on saturday!!
whos going, what are you bringing? let's all have a fun time since we are so close to the end of the season.

I won't be able to make the Oct 8th swap - family obligations

I do have a few d'Uccle pullets still available - one mille fleur, one white, two porcelains and two self blues.

Also I have some bantam cochin pullets and cockerels for sale - mille fleur, splash & buffs. In blacks & blues, I have four hens and a rooster to sell.

If anyone wants to take a nice ride to Temple (near Farmington) and buy some birds, let me know.
