Hi Everyone!
I'm a reasonably new (less than a year) chicken owner in Perth, Australia. We have 5 acres and the girls are free-rangers during the day. We keep them for love and eggs. We have recently rescued 2 battery hens and a duck to add to our small, established flock of 2 :-) Looking forward to gaining some insights and discussing chicken-care with you all ;-)

hey there Welcome to Backyard Chickens there is a large contingent from Australia and that funny little Island

Hi and welcome :frow:welcome I'm a newbie too - only had my chooks since Christmas, I started with 3 laying chicks and now also have 2 Silkies, 4 chicks, and 7 eggs under one of the Silkies - it is a bit addictive!
