Hi all! I'm looking to rehome some sweet baby roos, which brought me to BYC. Still looking, if anyone's interested!

(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
Have had a few hens for 2 years, and now my first batch of baby chicks, hatched by a broody mama hen!

(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
Two adult hens (the mama hen is now broody AGAIN and sitting on 5 fertilized eggs I bought her), and the 5 juvenile chickens (1 hen and 4 roos) from her first batch.

(3) What breeds do you have?
A variety! No 2 the same :)

(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
They are just so silly and interesting to observe and to care for. I have really appreciated spending my extra at-home time with them during this crazy pandemic feeding them snacks and watching them learn from their mama hen and explore the backyard.

Welcome to BackYardChickens! So glad to have you here in our wonderful community of friendly, helpful, knowledgeable people! Can't help you with the roos, I'm afraid. We just butchered our 3 today. Sad, but necessary as we can't have roosters here. But we will honor them on our dinner plates!
