Hi,

I am a brand newbie

(to the forum and to chickens!). I live in Newport, Melbourne. We picked up our girls on Sunday, we have 2 Gold-pencilled Hamburgs and 5 Barnevelders (2 or which we are minding for our neighbours until they get settled into their new house). I really enjoy BYC, have been lurking around for a few weeks.

we will be getting silkies and pekin bantams this christmas holiday after we build our coop, which shouldn't take too long ( i hope )

I've been reading through these forums and there is so much great information here. Thanks everyone!

We have 2 week old chicks and we're looking for a chicken coop now. So many of the options available seem cheap, imported, and poorly constructed. Any suggestions on where to get a decent Aussie coop and run?
