I have been talking to Satay as one of the Marans is very weak and had a bled from pip hole is weak but alive and drank honey water so fingers crossed
I thought it would die last night.

We are getting there. A few friends turned up with chainsaws , that certainly lightened the load.
I hope your chick pulls through.
This little guy hatched before absorbing all of his yolk. It was touch and go for a while but I fed him boiled egg and pentavite, then I gave him a duckling and he hasn't looked back since.

So don't give up yet.

Satay has been wonderfully patient with my texts ! All 4 Marans are Wheaties and from her girls... 3 eggs left in the bator. But today was hatch day so

Sorry to hear about your chick being grabbed Fancy.

I am going to try get a pic of mamma and her chick in the morning (she hatched one out of 4 so I gave her another)

Im glad clean up is moving along and I Love the pic of the babys above !

Update : The weak one is doing ok was looking stronger this morning. am praying all my administering helps.

Its toes are curled up.not flat so I am off to get supplies.I'll check in after lunch.

Also another Ara egg hatched - 5 left in bator

I went to a play once which featured the "Jan" from that ad. She got us all to shout " not happy Jan!" Before it started, just to get it out there...'twas quite funny!
