Still hoping very much for two pullets for you.
Tina should start laying very soon then.
Keep in mind, crowing is not always a sign of a rooster. I have heard of people having 'hens' for a whole year before it starts crowing and growing significant tail feathers. Especially in silkies as they don't have much feather difference.

Fancy, I know it is a little selfish of me keeping a rooster despite the neighbors not liking it, but that rooster collar in my opinion would have been 'nicer' for him than being in a box all night, one which I have to clean out regularly so that he doesn't die of ammonia.....

I know Lucas, and if I come across anything worth while you'll be the first one I talk to. My hubby is a keen inventor, he was one of the winners on ' the new inventors ' . I'll ask him to give it some thought. I'm not judging you for trying to appease your neighbours , it's nice that you care for your roo.

We've had horses since I was 5 and I have come to the conclusion that there are no ' silly ' horses, just silly people.
Amen to that sister from another mister!

I didn't know that, what was his product? I often watch that show, haven't got the pluck to enter with either of my products yet. I might when our second patent goes through. I like Dragons Den, but I cringe a lot with that one too.

Hey guys!

My gorgeous little Silkie "Dove" has laid her first egg today! It's perfect! My only prob is she interrupted my aggressive RIR and got into the same nest box.. Since coming out of the coop after laying her egg little Dove has been constantly attacked by my RIR it's horrible! What's it all about and how can I stop it? The RIR had already laid her egg and they only lay in one nest box..

Anyone have any ideas? :/
