Australia - Six states..and that funny little island.

Hi all, sorry it's been a while since I've been on, but have had human problems (family issues), not fixed yet but need a break!
My goodness I came back to 478 posts, so I skimmed through them so sorry.
Sorry for all the losses :hugs
Congrats on all the newbies :celebrate
Love all the photos :love
Good luck on the hatches :fl
Love the funnies especially the boiled egg joke @fancychooklady and what your husband did to you @satay :lau :gig
Don't forget to keep me SLW rooster and maybe another hen @fancychooklady
My 4 little orphans are doing super well, but they don't think they are chickens! Hahaha. My husband had to take over looking after them, and they just follow him around like he's their mum, it's absolutely gorgeous.
Don't know when I'll be on again, but I'll try not to make it tooo long :frow

Lol, I've got a sneaking suspicion I'll have 5 roos for you to pick from. I hope your family issues sort themselves out soon.

Nice to see you again Karen. Hope all improves for you soon.

Just thought you'd all like to know that my Max's eye looks a whole heap better tonight.... I have cleaned with salt water and put Chlorsig drops in 3 times through today and it looks to be responding well.... Max ate all his scrambled egg today and a nice warm bowl of porridge for dinner tonight, so obviously feeling a little better in himself too. Thank you to all those who offered advice.... He is on the mend!

THANK YOU :thumbsup

So glad max is looking better, :clap

Mine are all good - The Wellies with babies are just now going through a moult. One of the looks absolutely horrible.

The PR banties are 3 1/2 weeks old and doing great. The other mixed breed hatch is 2 1/2 weeks old; I've sold the four RIR that hatched so they'll go to their new home once they no longer need the heat from their surrogate.
I'll be keeping three from the hatches.

I'm considering selling/giving away my huge LS girls. I think they are both past their "lay-by" date, and are definitely the ones who eat the most.
I may keep them til the springtime to see if they produce anything again, but if not they will go. I'm sure there'll be someone out there who will enjoy them as pets.

Eagerly awaiting the turn of the season so I can hatch more babies - got Faverolles and Marans on my mind

It must be a wellie thing @K Spot The only 2 I kept from my originals are moulting too and they look shocking.
