I am hoping this weekend to have the first of maxi's babies hatch under one of the scoveys. She only has 2 eggs so we will see but another one has about 8 eggs I think and they are due the following weekend.

lol na one breed of quail is plenty for me right now.

I will take the babies after they are born and put them in the brooder. Jap quails are really friendly actually. The adults will come running over when I go in to collect eggs and fill feeders. Not sure if it's me they like or just the food lol

Oh, but wont the poor scovie be confused that she has just sat for 3 weeks to no prevail? Maybe they are just scared of the camera, I don't care if my hens love me or the food just as long as they come up to me for pats.lol.

I know quails are good for feeding to your snakes.lol. But what other benefits do they have or are they just purely pets?

Nice birds Ash, very jealous of you. I don't get though how you can have an Isa Brown Rooster are not they just red Sex-Links or are these "your" cross?
