Australia - Six states..and that funny little island.

Well yesterday was eventful, first I got a text at 1am that my client, who is due next week, had her waters break, labour started about 6am she managed fine on her own till she called for me to come at 1130 and baby was born at 1pm, only to have her rushed to theatre with a retained placenta, stupid doctor pulled the cord and it snapped inside her. Despite that, all went well, It never gets old, I could see it a million baby's born and it would always be amazing and different.
While I was at the hospital I got a message, someone on FB had found a cat that looked like mine, so once mum and bub were settled and feeding I went to see. My cat has been missing since April 2nd, I'd given up on finding her, but sure enough it was her, and she's pregnant, due any day by the looks of her. I only got her a couple months ago as her previous owner couldn't keep her and I needed a mouser, so hadn't got her fixed yet. I was told she had only just gone off heat a few weeks before so I figured I had some time to save the money, but obviously there's a tom cat around my house that was irrisistable or she wasn't really on heat when the owner said. Unfortunately I strive to be a responsible pet owner and will be worming and vaccinating the kittens before they go, so will have to charge $50 for god knows what breed cats... Or go broke :/ hopefully she has no more than 3 kittens (3 or more animals get breeder rates, almost half price, so 2 kittens would cost me double what I'd pay for 3)

So much for reducing my animals...

I am having a very bad day! A hoe just got knocked over by one chick and the handle landed on another. He won't weightbear on one leg. No visible injury. He is sitting in my jacket pocket.
How fast do I need to get the Amprollium, @Fancychooklady...we are a distance from the store...is there anything I can do in the meantime?

ASAP for the medication. Young chicks can die quite quickly from Cocci.

You probably won't get amprolium from the shops. Pet shops stock a Sulphadim drug for cage birds.
Get some buttermilk , order the drug online and ask for overnight post.
Keep the little injured one in a warm place, do you think anything is broken ?
I don't think you answered my earlier question, what is the medicated feed you have ?

Hi @Fancychooklady the food is Barastoc chick starter. I spoke to the vet who said to monitor them as it may just be cecal slough or an internal scratch from eating something outside.

The injured chick is definitely injured. He has been sitting in a wee box all wrapped up all day. He is not weight bearing at all and got distressed when trying to. I am supporting his body as I type this while he drinks. He is drinking well and i mixed some honey in the water. He had a peck at the food but got tired quickly. He has pooped twice and it is normal. I can feel like shivers in his body which i reckon are from pain. Still no visible injury. No swelling or bruising.

The left side seems to be the problem. I am worried it could be something more serious than a broken leg...a pelvis or hip? His spine seems fine. He can still move and his wings are good. He just hurts!
