I am guessing you have been sold easter eggers then. A cross bred that will normally lay a camo green colour egg or any other colour but not the blue green of the araucana.
She's pretty AnnibeeSatay and Deej211 I have one araucana - separate from the others, as I like to keep her alive !! ( one of my big chooks loathes her ) ..... She is very pretty, with goodly splashes of light tan / beige through her feathers in regular patterning. The person who gifted her to me, thought she might be a cross bred - he has a lavender, a black and a white himself, got them all from a breeder. She has dark coloured legs - and lays beautiful eggs ( when laying ) ranging in colour from olive green to almost a bright blue - at least it is a blue, with a few greenish blue eggs here and there. Lining them all up together, there are different hues .... but she has never laid a brown or pinkish egg. The insides of all her eggs are sky blue. Here she is - little Mindy :This was taken about a year back. She is more light tan now than white. As a little pullet she was all white. Can't wait to see what colour she will be when she completes her current moult. Cheers ......
Lol bear with me it was supposed to be but are you ok? I don't like the sound of your terrible day ?!
