gorgeous sunshine here for the past 2 days!!! thank goodness!!! got a new ee today, lays the bluest egg ive ever seen! sooooo upset shes not a pure araucana as my girls eggs while blue all have a hint of green, this is a true blue super egg, not small either. DAMMIT!

lol, shes super cute though, gorgeous little buff laced thing. all my birdies are doing well, everyone is happy and healthy, Pepper decided to be broody again yesterday, i gave up and let her sit on her egg all day and she was still on last night when i locked them up, let them out in the morning and it was like it never happened, half hearted that one "sigh" i caved and bought another silky x, if a snake eats this one i will actually cry.

beautiful cool clear night here now, i am on the laptop on back patio. 19degrees, just gorgeous!! setting some ara and some Maran eggs on thursday, gosh i hope i get at least one bl**dy maran hen this time. just one!!!

and will get to see what kind of cuties my pretty crele ara boy throws. super excited. have decided apart from a couple of ee's and olive eggers that im getting rid of all my x breeds except for my indian game crosses...we all know what they are for.
mini rant, i have a batch of polish chicks that have been sold since halfway through hatch, lady was meant to pick up last week, but hurt her back and cant pick up til this week, not heard from her since, need the space in my brooder for afore mentioned aras and marans :-/ should i just sell them? i left her a message (all contacts been through facebook) and i know shes been on a couple times since (other posts etc) but no reply to my message....cranky...

anyhoo, moving right along. lol. thats me over and out! night chicken peeps

Yeah put them back up for sale.

I'm pretty sure KC is laying as we've had a few 3 egg day's now. I think we'll be back to 2 again now as shadow went into the nest this morning and was still in it every time we looked to day.

My always broody Rooroo is not actually showing any signs ( knock on wood ) and is laying everyday ( again knock on wood this continues ) she use to lay every 2 nd. Hope your girl is just pretending !

Yes I would readvertise them. We had a beautiful day on Monday and then last night the temps dropped again. It was 16c over night Monday night and last night 2c.. Winter has gone mad.

we are supposed to get 7 degrees tonight and 6 tomorrow quite low for here this time of year. So weird. Its glorious during the day here though

I was a bridesmaid for my cousin in townsville many years ago in june. I remember it being so warm i didn't want to go back to brissy lol. Her fiancee was from new zealand and his brother and wife came over for the wedding. They complained it was so hot they were never coming back lol. Lucky they got married in June and not December.
