Australia - Six states..and that funny little island.

Sounds interesting- but I think I need a bit more practice with the new camera.
I may have to do something that blokes never do- read the instruction manual!

In our house that's a female thing. Hubby actually opens instruction manuals. Strange lol

Took me over 20 years to take my first SLR off manual, :)

Colourful. Do you ever get to the Canberra Markets? The person I had emailed about Faverolle chicks has on their site that they do those each month. Wondered if you'd seen anyone selling poultry and if so what their quality was like.

I've not had a reply to my last email though and its been a few weeks. Wondering if I need to start looking elsewhere.

Is that Countrycacklers? They are at the Jamison Markets every Sunday.

Or do you meant the farmers markets on Saturdays at Epic?

I got my Guinea's from Country Cacklers and the man was very polite and had healthy looking birds, but the Guineas were shocked at everything they saw. I don't think they had seen grass or large open spaces before. They are lovely birds (no mites, worms or health problems) but very flighty, but that's not saying much since they are guineas, and guineas are flighty.

Yeah, same here. I never read instructions. It's almost like I feel inadequate if I can't figure it out myself.
Did read instructions for my new incubator though, little lives being involved and all :p

Yes that's the one country cackles. I want 3 x three week old chicks so they are able to be sexed and I don't end up with another rooster. Hope that means young enough to still tame then as these are more pets :)

They should be easy enough to tame when they get to you, I would think. And Faverolles are such an interesting looking chook, I look forward to seeing how they are personality wise.
