Australia - Six states..and that funny little island.

Sam playing in the rain with his new coat on. He was toasty warm.

Took Singapore big Boeing 5 attempts to land ! Pass!

Love the photos here .... poor Ruby's coat is hanging inside to dry. Not too many walks being had here at present. Wet and very cold. 7° here at 8 a.m. Not much more now I would think.

Must have been a huge amount of wind shear, for 5 attempts at a landing ...... all from those horrid storms up there.

I too, pass on that - ( don't like flying much at the best of times ). Going around for a 5th attempt, I'd have probably passed out with fright. !!

Cheers ......

I took my friend to the airport yesterday, he was going to Hungary. I kept thinking ' glad it's you and not me ' . ;)

Well this morning I solved the mystery of why Ada had apparently gone off the lay. I couldn't find her anywhere, so decided to check the bush I see her free-ranging around sometimes. This one

Thinking maybe she'd fallen through or something, I push back leaves to reveal this;

NINE eggs in total. And to top it all off, whilst typing this, Ada found the cats secret entrance from the backyard through to the entertainment area, which I've had to block off now. Sneaky little bugger.

Very well.  My current 4 breeding pens are the best quality birds I have ever produced.
And I have 30 of their chicks coming along nicely at 4 weeks of age.

Love some pics ash

Yeah weather is bad. Sam had a slide and damages shoulder or elbow but two days inside has seen it mainly healed

One thing great about cattledogs physiology they heal quick.

Lol yeah some folk were green getting off the planes. Upto 125km/h winds

Hi all …

To everyone who responded to my photos of Craig in Antarctica, a big thank you. So glad you enjoyed the pics, if not the fact of such cold temps. LOL.

.............

Satay …. I did so appreciate your sense of humour and Santa he was when he returned from Davis station last time … beard down almost past chest level then, mainly for the amusement of the family. He is trimming it a bit more this time there. And he does love the cold, so do I - - - - until this year !!

Fancy - our house is the same – colder inside than out - by quite a few degrees. When I see my own breath in the family room – on goes the heater. It struggles to keep up. Hope you are not too impacted by anything – especially if the Huon River receives more than she can handle from up north. Stay safe. That applies to all of you / us.

…….

Sure hope all those winds have died down in Sydney, especially at the airport there, and other airports around the country, which have been heavily impacted by the weather. Not for me either.

……

IamSamSam ….. hope Sam’s shoulder injury is 100% by now, or at least very very soon. Amazing how resilient dogs are.

Ashburnam …. Congratulations on such successful breeding, and having the flock you now have. Excellent news.

Fizzybelle – loved the Ada “secrets” photographs. Is that a clutch of possible bubs or just a whole pile of up to 10+ days old eggs ?

…. Cheeky little bugger indeed.

SilkieChickStar … I do so hope your little silkie is ok – or is at least improving. Good luck to you and to your silkie.

Sjturner79 …. Good news about the 16 new eggs. Hope they all turn out to be hens – I think most people prefer hens, poor roos often have to be re-homed etc.

Teila … to answer your question : Sonya is doing well, growing in leaps and bounds ( literally ) and is learning commands quickly – being introduced to a variety of new situations. Most of the time she is good, but has some off days, and boy are they ‘off’ when she has them. Toileting is getting much better – behaviour ? 50/50.

Anniebee, no roo, so it's just a pile up of nine days worth of eggs. Annabelle has been hogging the nest box lately, so it's no surprize Ada went off on her own again and made a secret nest. I'll just have to keep an eye on her now to see if she moves again, stays put, or goes back to the nest box.

I actually need new roosters, so I don't mind, but I do tend to get more girls.

I candled the eggs that cuddles is sitting on and of the 6 , 2 tossed as clear 2 show good approx 8 days development and 2 I can't tell. My best mum KC has just started sitting 2, and based on current number of clears I am giving her 8 eggs as she does best with 3-5 bubbies.
