Australia - Six states..and that funny little island.

I've had the Chicks outside in one of those triangle things on the Warner days we've had lately. Maybe that encouraged my girl to lay :p

Right now I'm trying to distract myself because my ara chicks are due today :hmm
*stares at the incubator*

Lol oh no Luke. Maybe that would work for my lazy butt runners.
I know!! She hates me, so it's an evil good bye present.lol.
My Runner is still not laying either!!! Well at least she isn't a big eater.
Right, I am going down to the coop now to threaten the sale of my non layers!

Same with me!
Keep her! Tell them you're very sorry but she's not for sale anymore. I hope the egg is fertile for you at least :p
I was thinking about doing that, but I have already organized for her to come and pick her up. I still have my young Ara's coming up to laying so I'm not missing out on blue/ green eggs!

Hi everyone, not a lot happening in my pen at the moment although majority of my lorps are laying again (6 layers, 1 moulting, 1 hasn't laid an egg in a year lol). I did however enter into an online show (On another website) with one of my Blue Australorps today. Wish me goodluck. Here is the headshot I used in my entry.

Why do I attract scams? :(

It seems that the Yokohama and Sumatra I got aren't. The supposed Yokohama girls look like barnevelders, one has a single comb and one has a wyandotte comb (I forget what it's called) and one has feathered feet while the other doesn't. The male is tiny and barred, and all of the supposed Sumatra are barred.

I was happy to see how they grow out, I actually love cross breeds but now I find out that I am ridiculously naive.

I thought that the little sneezes were just from dust or the cold from the brooder to the car when we picked them up but now I see bubbles in the Yoko male's eye. I don't know how longtail it's been like that. I have terrible vision so it could've been like that from the start.

Now I'm worried about my other babies and my bigger birds. I haven't been careful about washing my games between touching the babies and my bigger birds. My partner is reading all lines of horror stories saying that they will always be carriers even if they recover and their Chicks can have a high mortality rate and he it's in your flock you can't sell birds or eggs. Is this true? Will my Plymouth rocks be ok?

The little chick has always been really lethargic but my partner read that some Chicks are just sleepy.
