I knew a bloke that flew to Perth to buy a car and drive it back to Tassie, these folk will use any excuse to get to the mainland

Must have been a cheap or unique car. Are we allowed to make Tasmanian jokes on here? Something about one person driving two-up.

Not likely, we spent a few years in Perth, when my husband was based at Campbell barracks, swanbourne . It will be nice to catch up with old friends though.

The box wasn't big enough for them but an auspost worker would have really needed to stamp on it as apparently the top was caved in. Of all the times for it to happen...

That wouldn't surprise me. A couple Xmas' ago my brother looked out his window to see the postman kick a Xmas parcel from the path to his roller door. Needless to say he got a PO box shortly after.

I have sent eggs all over Aus and the only breakage I had was within Tassie. The bigger the egg the harder it is to pack them. My little silkie eggs are by far the easiest to post.

Don't suppose anyone has bought an automatic door have they?

Im up at 7 but our coop isn't huge so by then the chooks are dying to get out. This morning I had a big fat faverolle hanging off the wire half of my door like a giant budgie and the silkie jumped off the roost about 30 seconds too early and hit the door instead of where the open hole would have been when I got the door open.

Starting to wonder if an automatic door opener might be an option?

I have one! It's was $200 for the door and the motor but forget getting up at 6:30am! And i don't feel like a bad mum running late to let them out or put them to bed (i stille say goodnight to my babies but now it can be done earlier) I love mine and couldn't imagine not having it
