This is maple and peaches. Unfortunately peaches died, so hubby thought that maple would be lonely. Maple tore strips off Xmas , so now she is in my brooder box/ cot,

We will try to reintroduce them, apparently we have to rub maples poo on Xmas so she smells her own scent. They are Dutch and Netherlands dwarfs.

Maple is the black one.

Certainly does look great Ash. You put in a lot of work on it. How big do you make your chook houses? Will have to hatch even more chicks now!!!

Hello all, finely got some spare time to jump online, I need to rant about..

CHICKS!

Don't get me wrong, I'm loving my 13 little bubs but my goodness are these dudes messy or what! I find myself cleaning they're cottage every second day if not every day, they poop so much! Not mention the amount of food these little guys are gobbling through! I do love them though, how often do you all clean out their homes? I feel bad letting their coop be so messy but cleaning it daily and throwing out the hay daily is becoming madness! Also, i put a light on for them at night, during the day they hate the thing and can't get further away from the heat if they tried, at what age will they be ok to sleep without heat?

Here's a pic of their new little brooder home, can't wait until they hit 9 weeks and can go out on the grass and play, i worry they get bored..
