Australia - Six states..and that funny little island.

Luke - The Naughty Chook Box is made from a 50 liter Tough Box - $20 from Bunnings. The food and water holders are a bit of old down pipe with a screw on bottom. I've bolted them to the bottom of the box with a couple of bolts, plumbing tape and a the washers off some corrugated roofing screws to stop them leaking - I'm hoping that will help to cut down on the spillages.

I'm learning fast that you've got to be at least three steps ahead of these young ladies at all times.

Oh wow lucky you, yeah even if they are not PB no loss. Ask for some pictures and put them up on here and i can help a little bit(bit of a novice on Araucanas but do know the dif between PB and EE's).
She sent me a video, which I couldnt get off my phone, so had to screen shot the video! So sorry for poor quality shots. I reckon they look like roosters...

Oh wow that's really hard to tell try and get some proper photos. But the last photo defiantly looks like a rooster, how many does she have. But they do look PB, but will still need better photo's.
I'm over in NSW so a bit to far away for me.lol.

She just has the two, so the two close ups are the same chook, and then the one in the background on the left hand side is the other. I just don't want to drive 45 mins each way to get roosters that I end up having to give away/sell. How certain would you be that the bottom one is a roo?

Oh wow it sounds so much more than what i got from the picture. So you put 2 hens in that box???
It sounds like you are all over these girls and have thought of everything, good luck with trying to stop them crowing, I've heard it's pretty uncommon so very unlucky to have 2.

No one would give away a pair of free Araucana hens so they are most likely roos. The bottom one is a definate rooster because of the saddle feathers. (The feathers that fall sideways at the base of the tail) if the other has the same saddle feathers its also a roo.

Yup, its hard to see, but definitely has the same saddle feathers. I just told her thanks but no thanks, and let her know about the livestock markets.
Thanks for your help guys!
