Australia - Six states..and that funny little island.

Congratulations!
I haven't been here for a while (all the conversations move so fast!) but for those in Sydney I am on the Northern Beaches - about ten ks away from Manly... I have three silkies, and four 'big' girls, a golden laced wyandotte, rhode island red, a mix of some sort and a silver Campine. I love my girls, they are hilarious. One of my silkies runs up to me and shouts at me  - she crows but lays eggs as well. Too cute!
Is anyone else on the Northern Beaches and if you are in Sydney what vets do you recommend? I have a good one but when he is away I get stuck...

Bearing in mind i have know idea where anything is in Sydney my first though was ... Dr Chris Bondi vet lol. Think if i lived in that area thats where i would be taking my pets lol. Good to see you Blondie chic

I don't know, I suspect he only has time to call in and film the episodes and then would be off again so you'd be lucky to get him anyway. That guy seems to be everywhere on tele these days

But why do you need to take your chickens to a vet?
It can be an expensive exercise, and you can buy all medicines you need online for a quarter the vet's consultation fee.

Pictures of the hatch from the welsummer eggs. I have sent pictures to the woman i got the eggs from. Really not expecting to hear anything.

They are still really pretty! Do you still have them Satay?

Satay -your chicks, Don't know what they should look like so just checking I've got the gist right. Do they not look like the right type of chook for the egg?

No Luke I don't have most of them now. I do still have one little rooster from that lot and he looks like a Pekin. Apps they were meant to be welsummers but they were nothing like then. I sold 2 to a guy and the rest are now living at a friend of ours house. The are nice looking birds but definitely not welsummers.

Haven't watched it all so not sure how factual it is, but it just seems interesting/ entertaining to watch!
