Australia - Six states..and that funny little island.

Can you put him in animal cage at night and cover with a blanket til the morning. Funny isn't it you could be fined with the neighbours just accusing you and I can't seem to do anything with out x amount of proof. What breed is your rooster?

I have to say the irony wasnt lost on me. He told me that they didnt have to prove he was loud enough to disturb them, they just had to sign a stat dec and that was all that was needed. Yet you have to jump through hoops for them to believe you. Does your head in doesnt it.

As for breed, he is a frizzle x silkie and we think a very handsome dude :)

Im not sure putting him in a box will do much other than drive me crazy having to catch him every night. He crows about a dozen times every morning at 5am and it was pitch black out this morning when he was doing it. I actually think someone must leave for work then or something because its exactly the same time every morning. 5am, dozen crows. 6.30am when hubby leaves dozen crows. 7 am when we get up crows till I let them out lol
(I just happened to be up early most mornings which is why I hear him, he isnt loud enough to wake us)

OMG he is beautiful and has such nice eyes! You can't get rid of him!
I remember when we were young one of the guys we knew stuck egg cartons to the walls of his unit - they were entirely covered with them (wouldn't you have love to be his landlord?!) Anyway, he did that because apparently they absorb sound - could maybe work?
And yes, the clumping bamboo is very different to the usual, mad, out of control bamboo
Have you tried sitting down and talking to your neighbours to discuss him?

We only have the one bamboo plant. It's about 2 years old now I think. I bought it at the markets as just a shoot and a stump.Look to the right past the tank and you can see part of the roof of our low set house so you can tell how tall it is
or you could use
