Australia - Six states..and that funny little island.

No I'm just keeping that up my sleeve so I don't speed up the eviction process :)
I will though, no point putting up with a wet backyard to keep friendly with my neighbors anymore. Actually hope I might get to use the vegetable garden this winter if we get it all removed.

I don't want to put him for free, free roosters here feed the crocs at the local animal park.

Yeah, When this all blows over ( If you have decided to sell him ). I would get that all fixed up, If your on limited space anyway may as well use a much as you have.

Crocs!!! Why would some one make the effort to get everyone's free roosters?
I would just try heaps of Classifieds. Perhaps buy an ad in the paper, I don't think it costs to much at all.

If I lived anywhere near you I would snatch your wonderful rooster up any day, especially if it was to help you out. He is gorgeous, I don't think you should have any problem's in selling him, especially if he's Pure Bred ( Is he? ).
Good Luck!

Yeah crocs. Lol. Have it first hand that's where all the dumped ones end up. Figure they have big appetites mine is not joining the free food chain lol

Love all the pics guys!!

Sort of admitting defeat while there is time to find a good home.....
Those of you that breed how to you go about re homing your roosters? I've put an add on gum tree what other options are there? I'm sort of stumped on ideas.

Most of mine go in the freezer but I have rehomed a few on gumtree or farmstock.

Hmm now how could I achieve that........ Spent the afternoon yesterday weeding mine. Didn't think to try chicken power :)

Mind you I've spent a lot of time training them not to get in the vegetable garden, maybe I better stick to doing it myself lol

My gardens are fully fenced with gates and they run off the chicken pen. I open a gate when I want them to go in others wise the can't get access to them.

I have had to re-home three, the first one literally walked into my property (dumped on the road we suspect). We didn't know any other chicken people and I had him long enough to fall in love with him - mum asked at the local flower shop if they knew of anyone and they actually took him to live with their girls, he went from being super tame and loving cuddles to mr big wig and protective of his harem but they kept him till he died.
The other one, I was lucky enough to know a girl who owned a winery so they took him and my last one (love of my chicken life) went to a property in Ourimbah to live with a girlfriends sister.
Where are you? I can ask around as my job has me in touch with people almost everywhere...
Maybe try a sign at your local saddlery? Lots of horsey people have chickens too - and put a photo up with him as he is stunning.
