Australia - Six states..and that funny little island.

Wow, they are actually very pretty!

I would love to get some.
It looks as thought they are not scratches...because he still actually has grass!

Appps, those ones you thought were light Sussex, they are definitely not, they are Speckled Sussex, probably crosses. I don't even think they would be light Sussex x.

Edit: Sorry actually those speckled things, look like Ancona's, well the rooster does?

The photo of the of the 10 week old chicks, is that a Speckled Sussex with feathered feet? It looks like a Brahma with Barring!

I'm not sure what those black ones are ill have to go back and look at his advert to see if I can make sense of them. Don't like those though.

I've been googling light Sussex and agree can't see these are the crosses, I'd just guessed that's why he included them but I should probably not assume. Lol

My lazy butt cochins finally started to lay a few weeks ago. They will be 12 months old in May. They laid 3 eggs in the first week and nothing since lol. I think they don't like me lol. Luke have your runners started laying again yet? Mine haven't laid an egg in I can't remember how long.

Apps, I would take the older ones, but I don't want babies .. as a side note, my Dora was pathetic when we got her - if you even looked at her sideways she ran away and hid, such a freaking drama queen...she is now the tamest of all my girls (excepting Soda the legend Silkie) and I have trouble keeping her out of the house - much to my husbands horror she even followed him into the bedroom on the weekend! (its tiled too). She is so nosy and helpful now!
Anyway, my experience is that I believe its you who creates friendly or not chickens...I may be completely deluded but hey...I am happy that way!

Satay, that is such a long time to wait!!

It sure is. I hatched these for my cousin last year and she gave me back 2 from that hatch and a rooster. Her's started to lay in January and mine not til the second last week of March. Cochin's are late starters but these have started and stopped almost at the same time .
