My lazy butt cochins finally started to lay a few weeks ago. They will be 12 months old in May. They laid 3 eggs in the first week and nothing since lol. I think they don't like me lol. Luke have your runners started laying again yet? Mine haven't laid an egg in I can't remember how long.

12months. WHAT! wow they are lazy. You can see if the are laying by finding the bone just below the vent, If you can get 3+ figures in then they should be good to lay.

LOl not quite Luke.

Cochins are renound for late laying and I know they have laid only 3 eggs as they are separated in their on pen and run.

A Funny story. Lady came yesterday to look at some chicks I had for sale. We are walking around the main pens looking at the parent stock when she say omg you have a pigeon living with your chooks. I look around and no pigeon. I say where? She points to my little oeg bantie.. I tried not to laugh. Then she says that's not a chicken what is it. It was amazon my malay game. Think the women left thinking I was mad and had things that really weren't chickens in there lol. Not the first time someone has said amazon is not a chicken but first time poor fug has been called a pigeon lol.
