Guys!!! I'm getting KC Ducks

.
A pair for $60, sounds reasonable?

GO Luke!!!

I've got two Khaki Campbell ducks (female) for $80 from someone who shows they're ducks so I think $60 for a pair is an okay price. Not cheap but not expensive. Just make sure they are unrelated and not brother/sister or any ducklings will be smaller than they should be (In-breeding is bad

) Lol, I've never before had a reason to use this emoticon so I just threw it in.

I'm looking for a Khaki Campbell drake because they are so lovely I wouldn't mind breeding from them.

Hey guys, I need some advice. A couple of my Chicks have leg issues but one in particular can't walk and I'm very worried :( she kinda user her head to note around and kinda flops on her side most of the time. I've bandaged her toes to straighten them and her legs for splay leg. Does anyone know about how long they need the bandages on for? I've been hand feeding her a little but don't know how much she needs to eat and drink. Also, just bought some liquid vitamins. Anybody know about dosage? Thanks guys.

Quote: wow, $80.00!! Glad I don't have to pay that.lol. I am actually thinking if selling the drake, I have chickens and not sure If I can keep him

. Will have a go though.
I do hope they are not related.
Nevermind, little Nemo passed away a couple hours ago. :'(
Sorry this happened Pinky.
Have a look on BYC there are MANY threads on leg problems.

And Luke, I've never had a problem between my drakes and my chickens (I have drakes, just not a KC one). Just remember that your duck will need company (chickens aren't enough company unless they were raised by a hen). Also, I love my ducks, but they make more mess than anything else (they throw water everywhere and they need their water containers need to be deep enough to fit their beaks in or they'll get sick.

what! really? I have been told many time never have your drakes in with you chickens and I even enforce that now. If I keep the drake, I will have 1 Runner, 1 KC ducks and him is that enough ladies? I have 14 hens, 6 pullets, 1 rooster and 6 chicks. Would my rooster keep him away?

Hi there. I keep my ducks and chooks together. They all free range during the day but are in at night. The drakes stay with their girls and the roosters stay with their girls. I've never had any trouble with this set up they all get along fine.
