lol Yeah I hit hubby up for a roo for a few months to get babies  there is a french wheaten marran roo free down the road !

I figured you guys were talking about them and the photo was lovely ! have a look at the add and you can see egg size comparison !

Yeah on getting a roo Sam. Now that sounds odd doesn't it as we usually are trying to get rid of roos lol.

LOL - Yeah But I feel adding older girls to the 3 would be painful and getting a roo for a stint will be better - Plus the lorp is easy and ready to brood at a drop of a hat.....................

PLUS I wanna piss my neightbours off a bit... ****grins evilly and taps fingers together****

Also I think a FW Maran Roo will be easier to re home later........

Well Satay, out of the 4 Araucana chicks I have, I think 1 is a rooster and 3 are pullets

, which is great!!
The one that I think is a rooster has much more comb development than the rest and the feathers even at this age are much more pointy.
Also when I put my hands to the ground he comes over and pecks then quite aggresivly, not sure if he thinks it is food but I can tell he is going to be a cheeky rooster.

Go with both. My cousin has been breeding large fowl cochin and isa browns and they are a nice looking chicken.
