Australia - Six states..and that funny little island.

The wild life doc guy?I don't live in either place but I could never go see him anyways. His voice creeps me out lol. I love his docs but I have to mute the volume lol.
That is hilarious Satay! His voice is very unique.... I would love to go but I am having my wisdom teeth taken out the day before so probably won't be in good form.... He is a legend!

I had a Lavender Araucana that turned out to be a roo, so I swapped him for the black girl.

Both her and my new Salmon Faverolles are the friendliest.

Oh do share photos!! Another salmon favorelle convert here :)
Sorry I seem to have missed your intro, where did you get yours?

And hello btw :)

Darn, wrote a super long post and then my computer decided to reboot itself. Okay, let's try this again.

Holy chicken gods! I've been gone for 2 days to find that there were over 100 posts to read through! And that most you guys got flooded or severely rained upon (it rained here, but all I have is a LOT of mud to contend with. I say all, but seriously, you can practically skate across my chicken yard in shoes).

Satay, your chicks look great! I can't wait to see them as they grow

I have my first broody! It's my Japanese bantam... tiny little nird who is sitting on non-fertile eggs because my Jap boy isn't "working" (he's show quaility and stunning, but while he likes my girls, he doesn't seem to "like" them). I'm going to pop some Quail eggs under her to see if she'll hatch them.

Pinky, I'm so sorry to hear about your Yokohama. I really hope the lady you bought them off does send you another lot.

My duck (whoever it is laying) is now giving me an egg a day, which is nice.

Ash, those are nice plymouth chicks, are you intending to show them?

When I was letting out my turkeys yesterday, I noticed that one of them had a bluey, green slightly swollen face (their heads can go a metallic blue sheen when they feel like it, but this was a different colour all together). I was freaking out because I thought it might be the start of Blackhead. But the swelling has gone down a bit today and while still blue, it's less green.

I do believe one of my Suffolk sheep kicked that turkey in the face. Bloody Sheep.

I'm going to have to look into Marans, they are becoming popular (last year Araucana's were the new thing). Luke, your two look great

Okay, I'm going to post this before my computer eats it again. Here it's sunny and about 13-15 C, let's hope it stays that way long enough for my poultry to have a good free-range day.
