Ok, I'm convinced I have two girls laying, Found two eggs again today, both different colours.



The one on the right is from my Speckled Sussex and the other is a mystery.

All the breeds I have are in my signature... it's driving me crazy. Would anyone know who the culprit is?

I sincerely hope that they do find an alternative for the "death row chickens". My concern is that the meat chicken industry is a very strong and powerful group.

So just to clarify? Does that strain of salmonella exist in Australia already or has it been 100% eradicated? I'm a little confused as it sounds like we had it but they are saying they got rid of it but wouldn't that almost be an impossible task with something like that?

It is in backyard flocks, they had it in the commercial poultry industry but eradicated it.
And yes another week of torture!
