My 3.5 year old Australorp. She has always been a good layer, but now starts to give me some funny eggs sometimes. Is it age?

Just been told my little black marans is probably a boy I'm so bummed because my partner has to put up with so much and he is not an animal person but when this little guy hatched he went crazy, was so excited and claimed it for his own. Now we can't keep him :-\ my poor bf. Now extra on a mission to find a bcm girl.

On the up side, I woke up to four little minorca babies in the incubator this morning. They must have all hatched at about the same time. Wish I could have seen it

Speaking of eggs we think we finally got our first favorelle egg!! Two days running there has been an egg just a bit bigger than the bantams eggs a slightly lighter colour.

Now to see if we can catch who it is

Try just lifting them up and putting in them in the boxes, they might just settle down and lay one, well that's what my Marans and Ancona's did.

Not the best pic of the wing but no one home to hold them for me .. It appears to be lighter closer to the body and darker further out.

Might be a bit too soon to tell, I'm having a bit of trouble telling the babies I hatched too, they are quite different from my lines.
