What brands of pour on wormer does everyone use for their chooks, for worming and external parasite control?

Hi Rexy,
I worm my chickens with wormout tablets. 1 tablet oes 2kg worth of chicken so my australorp hens get 1.5 - 2 tablets each and my roo gets 2.5 tablets. I find that the tablets work best in my experience. It is also good to change the brand of wormer you use from time to time as the worms can build up an immunity.

For other parasites I use frontline for small dogs. Each chicken literally only needs a tiny drop applied to the back of their head. Another product I have had great success with is diatomaceous earth. It is a natural product that basically dries up the exoskeletons of parasites, killing them. It is a powder that we dust around the pen, in their coop, in nesting boxes and perches. Completely safe for the chickens to digest as well. Great to put it in their dust bathing areas as it kills any parasites on their skin. Just make sure it is food grade diatomaceous earth. I highly recommend this product.
