Australia - Six states..and that funny little island.

Be careful what you wish for... I'm in Darwin too and it's really really hot today. The chickens are sleeping in the shade right now. I want rain....

This is " sleeping beauty " the mountain range outside my living room.

Jumbo Japanese quail eggs IN! Wish me luck, there were a few broken ones but they were sent in two separate parcels so hopefully I get a few that work!

You're a summer person! I'd definitely prefer cold to hot.

Yeah, we nearly bought a property in WA, but the heat was too much for me. I love that Tassie has 4 very distinct seasons. Autumn is my favorite time of the year. My Wyandotte do well in the cold climate, but the sussex do get a bit of frostbite on their comb.

Sounds amazing. I've never been to Tassie. Up here we've got dry season and wet season. Right now we are smack in the middle of the build-up....where the humidity rises as the wet season begins. Hurry up and rain already! It's rained only about once this year!

We had a warmblood out of Northern Aslan, he wasn't a very good eventer, cause he had that typical warmblood attitude " no not today I don't feel like it " . Warmblood s are the middle weights of the equine world. Not so clumsy and quiet as a heavy ( draught ) and ideally not as hot headed as your typical thoroughbred. They are ideal dressage mounts.
