Bit better one. Not sure if you can tell in the picture but the brooder light is not on as it is 38c here today. I have it set to 35c so it will come on later when it cools down a little.

Hi there.
Just popping in to introduce myself as another Aussie.
We're a family of 5 in WA, a few hours from Perth city, on homesteading acerage.
There's our FIFO (fly in/fly out working) Daddy who's home a third of the time due to his work shifts, myself (the domestic goddess of pigstye-ness, attempting homemaking and homesteading), 2 girls and a not-so-baby boy (all 6yo or under and home'schooled')

I'll have a browse over the recent posts after I milk the goat (got to get in on my chance while the baby's FINALLY asleep) so I look forward to reading all your stories with my much needed cuppa, uh...... cuppa'S

Toddler teething and he doesn't do it in halves... 6 shifting, 4 of which are cutting through atm... if only babies were like hens.
Hmmmm, now there's an idea. **starts contemplating trading children for chickens and making chickens my children**
