I have had my giggle for the morning. I just had a lady looking for some hatching eggs in brissy. I sent her a pm to say I had marans eggs and the price. She wanted to know if they would stay warm enough all day if hubby had them in the car at work and then in the shed. I said warm enough ? She thought she could buy eggs that would be ready to hatch like in a day or so.... Shouldn't laugh at newbies really but that one was funny. I explained the way hatching works and she quickly went off line.

They look great on my pc and phone love the grass would make a great background shot. And I ADORE Lucy. My first red was put down at 6 mths due to tetanus. Was very nasty. Highly unusual too for a cattle dog. More pics of Lucy!

It was it took me a bit to figure out why she thought they would not be warm enough to hatch... You know what our temps have been like.

Lucy actually isn't ours but she is always coming over to play with our dog...and eats all of his food.lol.
I believe Lucy is a mix, but yes defiantly has red cattle dog in her.

Howdy everyone, de-lurking to say g'day and post some pictures.

Speaking of pictures ... I see Luke is adding to the beautiful pictures this thread produces; nice shots Luke!

Mine are nowhere near the high standard but they give you the idea!

2 Weeks and 2 days old. I have some gender guesses on these little ones, 3 boys, 1 girl and a I'm stumped lol. Any other guesses are most welcome :-D

This is Blondie who has some serious clown shoes going on. She does not join in any of the chest-bumping games. My guess is pullet .....





This one's guess is rooster:








This one has me stumped; occasionally joins in the chest-bumping game but nowhere near as much as the 3 I have picked as roosters .....
