Australia - Six states..and that funny little island.

I was thinking d'Uccles myself. They come in so many pretty colours.

I'd love to get a bantam Dorking, but getting this LF Dorking was hard enough. I really like bantam Australorps and Wyandottes, but I don't know how easy they are to find, considering I can get a d'Uccle quite easily.

I'm trying to talk hubby into making the coop I have into two sections and having one half for the LF and the other for the banties and getting a d'Uccle roo

Still a work in progress though.

@fancychooklady I saw a few cars at your place. Will definitely drop in next time we are out your way. Your Coros are amazing, that will be my next breed I want to :fl introduce, but have to take baby steps with the hubby on the chickens I want lol. ;)

Tim and I were saying the locals must really love the helicopter buzzing around their houses NOT. :he

I am excited about breeding my SLW . I think I have 2 BLS roos chicks here (showing more male features than female), want a more pure SLW (to breed with the chick I have indirectly from you and an old chicken I got from Robert)I will hopefully sell these 2 roos or they might end up in someone's pot.

Just have to wait to build the coop now.

Luckily the horses don't mind the choppers, we have quite a few landing and taking off from the sports ground during bush fire season. The SES helicopter was very busy on the weekend too. Girl went missing from cygnet and fatal car crash at Dover. All in all a very busy long weekend.
We have an ultra light refueling on our back paddock next couple of weeks on his way to Port Davey.
Hey Ben looks like hubby may be getting a gig at Port Headland, may be another opportunity to get some eggs to you. Have you finished the cubby refit?

While there are few exceptions, isa brown generally don't get broody. They are genetically engineered not to. That's where silkies come into their own. They go broody at the site of a clutch of eggs, even a silkie cross will sit likes there's no tomorrow . If you can't get your hands on a faithful little broody, you might get yourself a cheap little incubator. This is ' chicken little ' my silkie x, she has raised these Wyandotte and now they are bigger than her, but she would still lay her life down for them.
