I'm guessing you were referring to the Silkies? They are 5 and a 1/2 months old and have these tiny little heads on great big fluffy bodies lol. Obviously only pets but I love them to bits!

Yea the silkies I love them and their fluffiness I also saw a lady on better homes and gardens who has show silkies and took them around to nursing homes as means of entertainment I thought it was just great and they seem like such lovely little additions to have

Having said that, the jury is still out on whether the Silkies are girls, still waiting for that defining egg or crow!
I have Dusty, the Bantam Langshan in the front of the photo; she is a funny little girl and also Cilla a Bantam Black Cochin who is currently raising the Pekin Cochin chicks.
Fingers crossed that Tammy and Blondie (two of the chicks) who are looking like pullets actually are pullets

So how old are silkies uasally when their sex becomes clear? Im looking for another girl to brood for my pekin but I wnt a chick or adult that will eventually love me. My drake always attacks me (im working on showing him im alpha) and so stella stays away from me because of it. But yea I don't know if I got another adult female if she would also stay her distance because of stanley.

I am definitely no expert when it comes to Silkies, these were from my very first go at hatching. When Cilla became broody for the second time I bought her some fertile eggs; as you do! lol
From what I have read, I would say on average anywhere between 5 and 8 months but some have been sooner and some later.
Good thing these girls are pets because I am currently getting 1 egg every day or two and have a total head count, disregarding age, of 9 chickens! lol
Again, no expert, but Silkies are apparently excellent broodies and will sit on anything. Cochins probably come a close second

You can usually sex them around 16-20 weeks.
