Australia - Six states..and that funny little island.

I mixed the chickens at work together yesterday. One of the old Isas is quite cranky about the whole thing, but I think they will be ok. I'm trying to work out what breed the new ones are, and after a quick google I think the thing they look most like is a New Hampshire Red. I've never heard of them so I'm thinking they might be called something else here. They are quite a dark brown, with some black tail feathers and yellow legs. They have quite a different cluck to the Isas, too. Judging by their combs, they are still quite young....very small and pink.

Congratulation Ash.

So far I have 6 chicks out, two got shrink wrapped after the eggs got broken and now there is still one egg that is pipping.
3 chicks are down with Broody Frizzle and the other 3 are still drying off.
After all the confusion I really don't know who is who or what I have got.

Watch the isa's. They notorious for aggression towards new comers. My old ones tried to kill my babies and took me over 2 month to integrate them into the flock
It just seems to be one in particular who isn't taking it well. I'm afraid I just left them to it yesterday afternoon. There's enough room for all of them, and I left the door of the inner coop open so there's multiple places to be at night, too. It's the one tricky thing about school chooks...I've no idea what's going on over the weekend!

Gorgeous chicks Ash....I really love Araucanas....so beautiful!

Lukas, sounds to me like your cat is jealous! And naughty!!
